The true meaning of the season of Remembrance can be summed up in three words: Honour, Healing and Hope. So David Virr, Pastor of Burford Fellowship Baptist Church, told a packed agricultural hall in his Memorial Address at the annual Burford Interdenominational Remembrance Service on Sunday afternoon. “Today we honour those who have served and continue to serve us in the Armed Forces, and those who have paid the ultimate price, and we promise we will never forget,” he said.
Deadline is this Friday, Nov. 15, to purchase tickets for the annual gala evening honouring recipients under the annual community recognition program.
Scotiabank representatives recently presented Burford Agricultural Society President Keith Ovington with a cheque for $2,000 in support of the new Burford Ag Hall.
